My
first Akita was a Red & White female puppy.
She was so adorable; I couldn't wait to bring her home. I
had planned to show her, but unfortunately she was blinded in one
eye in an altercation with a Great Dane. She has some well-known
Akitas in her lineage: Chiheisen, No Hanashi, Toklat, and O’BJ.
I decided that she would become my Foundation Bitch, so I
contacted several Akita Breeders in the Pacific Northwest area.
Most were gruff or didn’t breed to outside bitches, but one
person in particular was very kind and willing to work with me.
This is how I started my long-term friendship with Barbara
Hartl. We planned a
breeding with Tassha and BISS Am/Can CH. Crown Royal's The
Untouchable "Tango".
Tassha and Tango produced a beautiful litter; I kept one
female to show: Am. Can. Champion - Tassha's Untouchable Sachi.
She and I had a lot of fun showing in Canada & AKC shows
mostly in Washington and Oregon. We
completed her American Kennel Club (AKC) and Canadian Kennel Club
(CKC) Championships; ALL OWNER HANDLED!!!
I'd
like to thank my friends who offered me their wisdom and advise over
the years: Barbara Hartl, Birgit Hopkins, Brenda Singer, Lynne
Torres, and Daniel Overstreet. We
will update this Site when we have News to share about one of our
dogs; be it show wins or just updated photos.
