Ziggy is an absolute joy to have around. She is HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY.   She was a gift from Brenda and Carl Singer of Summer Sun Akitas.

2002 Show season Her first US show was at in February 2002 in Seattle, Washington. She earned Reserve Winners Bitch and Best Puppy and Winners Bitch and Best of Winners the second day.  In March, Ziggy attended the Bremerton, WA. Shows were she earned Winners Bitch both days and Best of Winners and Best Opposite Sex one day. In August, we attended the Sammamish Kennel Club show in Redmond. I entered her in Open, where she took Reserve.  In September, we attended the National Specialty in Everett, Washington. She earned 2nd place from the 12-18 month puppy class behind Rusty Short.   

In October, we headed up to Canada for the Akita Club of British Columbia (ACBC) Specialty and the Lower Mainland shows.  The first day of he shows Ziggy was awarded with Winners Female, Best of Winners, and BEST OF BREED for a four point win.  The second day of showing which included the Akita Specialty, Ziggy was awarded Winners Female for both the All Breed and Akita Specialty shows. She also earned Best Puppy In Sweepstakes. 

The third day Ziggy earned Winners Female again for a total of 9 points in one weekend. In November, we headed back up to Canada to complete her Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) championship.  The first day Ziggy won the Breed and completed her Canadian championship and went onto take the Breed the second day.
